# UtilityCloud

> UtilityCloud is a modular, API-native Customer Information System (CIS) and billing platform for energy retailers. It runs customer and contract management, settlement, invoicing and collection on one cloud-native platform built on Microsoft Azure, for electricity retail, district heating and EV charging. Founded in 2019 in Norway, with 30+ customers and over one million households on the platform across Norway, Sweden and Finland.

- Wattson is the AI agent inside UtilityCloud: it answers questions about customers, contracts and invoices, cites the help centre, and suggests the next step.
- Processes run 100% automated: signup from any channel, CRM integration, daily settlement of meter values, rule based invoicing, payment matching and bookkeeping to ERP. Teams handle only deviations, on one board.
- Every feature is an API (headless CIS): open REST APIs with an OpenAPI specification, Bearer JWT, events and webhooks, test and production environments.
